Adults have pale brown forewings, with a brown spotted diagonal band across each wing. 8. Adults have a black wing margin decorated with shining silver spots and various diagonal bands . 9. The leading candidate features stark blue diagonal bands resembling folded wings, lifted behind a white star. 10. The first version had a yellow diagonal band , which was later changed to a horizontal stripe.
